Thank you for being one of the few creators that focus on solutions vs what we should be avoiding. Great content.
What do you think about having 2 to four comfortable side chairs in the living room space with a table and small end tables versus the standard loveseat living room arrangement? Can you do a video on how to style living rooms in this style? I don’t want a chandelier in my living room centered above the seating area. It’s a large room and I’m trying to break up the space into different sections. I think floor lamps and single chairs would suit this space much better.
Best ideas I’ve seen on the internet. It all makes sense. I was hoping you would mention banquettes in dining rooms
My favorite tip is not drawing the eye to the floor by setting in the color scheme of the floor.
Some great ideas. I saw vertical blinds as a divider. Hmmm! Maybe there IS a place for vertical blinds after all!
Monochromatic ❤
That black divider is a rip off of Louise Nevelson.
Is it just me but I have never cared for round tables.
Great
Why do you show so many nonfunctional furniture pieces, then say to get pieces that are multifunctional? I think you like the ideas you come up with, then you see small pieces and add them for fluff in your videos (IMHO). There are plenty of furniture ideas that create storage, do more than one thing, etc. Your suggestions re color scheme have been around forever, but some could use the knowledge. I only got one good thing – use the same tone rug as the floor. That was good. I think mentioning the size of the rug would’ve been a good point as well.
I do really like your videos, but your energy is a bit chaotic for me personally. You come across as scared, anxious. Maybe you’re just trying to fit as much info into as little time as possible. I swear I’m not trying to troll you though. Just giving you my honest opinion. I’m sure you’re a lovely lady.
Love your ideas
I LOVE how on point she is
Thank you
Omg this is the best advice I’ve watched so far. So specific!
amazing content, super ideas!
How about wall arts/photos?
bed suggestions all are no Nos in feng shui
Love the tip on keeping the carpet the same tone as the flooring when you have a small space.
I’m checking off the tips. Yep, yep, and yep!
Love all the tips. I never thought of rugs , makes sense. Thanks for all ideas
This video is well done 👍🏻 love all these gr8t ideas 🤩 Thank you!
I use a lot of mirrors love them the best to open up the space!
As always, I love your segments. Not only you enthusiastic, and fun, you give some great tips! Love your channel!
if you doo doo the area rug? throw it out!
Funny story I bought my first custom sofa from lazy boy…. I picked out of a catalog as it was new and not in store yet…. It’s what I had dreamed of…. She said it was an apartment sofa…. I live in a modest house….when it was finally made and delivered…. The pieces looked like doll furniture….you have to laugh…. But I split the space & put in a round table… good choice…. And then it looked intentional…. But until then …. It was hilarious….😆
Love your energy I wanna design something now ❤❤❤😂😂😂 thanks subscribed
I’ve downsized to a small 2×1 and I agree with the all white and I have bamboo floors in the main areas. However, I kept my 3 seater couch and I was so thankful when I was sick and I was so fed up with laying in bed but still needed to rest. I think the biggest thing that helps is getting rid of stuff you don’t need, instead of putting it in an ottoman 😆
Great info!
I purchased a Homesteps foreclosure studio in Queens. NY. I have a murphy bed (no room divider needed). Luv the pic of the oversized sofa – LOL😂😂😂 I bought a 7 foot silk Lillian August sofa (flew to the plant in NC – got a $6K sofa for under $1K) – knocked out the middle man. When they delivered the sofa, they ripped the back, had to take the sofa back to NC for repair. I had 2 choices either have somemone take the sofa apart and reassemble it (it is an 8-weigh tie down sofa) or hoist it through the window, having someone take it apart, the integrity of the sofa is not guantreed. I hired day labourers to walk the sofa up 8 flight of stairs. I have a galley kitchen – bought round kitchen table as you suggest in this video (had contractors cut-off 1/3 of table in orderr push the table flush against the wall) and chairs at hotel liquidiation in NYC (I live in Queens, NY) – after watching ts video, will update the chairs (Girl, you are on point!).
Could you talk more about how to arrange and decorate a room with sloping ceilings? Where I live there’s a lot of old houses that have bedrooms on the top floors with sloping ceilings and they always look bad to me. Perhaps they just tend to lack light in these old houses, but I find the shape of the ceilings tend to often make awkward layouts. I’m talking normal height ceilings, not lofts.
Hi, my bedroom is rectangle I have a door to my balcony on the left and the bathroom to the right… my bed is on the northern side and the entry door to the south…. I’m trying to repair but unsure if I can hav an accent wall or paint all 4 walls in a single colour
I feel like small is a relative term. Im in a one vedroom apartment, but it has 10 foot ceilings, and open room concept, living space is 15 x17. Tw9 huge picture windows, full window in balcony door, and another window looking out onto balcony. Is that considered small? It’s larger/or feels larger, than some of the older homes I’ve lived in. I just got rid of an uncomfortable smaller narrow leather sofa on metal peg legs, and opted for a deep, down wrapped 85in sofa. (White!) Not delivered yet, Im nervous. TV is on the wall. Tall bookshelf with glass shelving. Bar cabinet on legs coming. I hv a kitchen bar with 3 tangerine bar stools. I work from home, long hours, I wanted to be comfy. My floors are dark walnut LVP. I was thinking after watching this…may need to do a large darker neutral jute rug to cover most of the conversation area, with a softer smaller lighter in color rug for just under front legs of sofa and under coffee table to tie it the light sofa? Ill know more I guess once it arrives :/😢
Wait 10 inches is tiny?
I have been watching several interior designers on YouTube for many years. You are the most authentic and passionate and the ONLY one that I continually learn from. Thanks for keeping the material fresh, it can’t be easy.
I love your videos….so interesting, great ideas and your exuberance is so inspiring.
I love the divider showcasing the artwork
I ordered a 7,393 foot couch before moving into my manufactured home. BIG mistake.
Love the black room divider!!!! Love, love, love!
Love seats suck. No 2 people want to sit together on a love seat. Get 2 chairs…. Also, getting really small furniture can actually make your space look smaller.
Is it just me or are all these rugs small? Didn’t you say not to put rugs that don’t fit all of the furniture? Is it different in a small space?
I need help I bought an oversized coffee table , it is too tall even though my couch is still higher but the table look too big and now I feel stupid. I don’t know what to do
so monochromatic is the same as color drenching? Do you use the same paint on all surfaces or satin on walls, flat on ceiling, glss on trim? HELP!
Do not, never never, point your finger to your audience
I love every single detail about it ♥️ you are amazing I take a notes for my tiny vacation house 🇸🇻
can I skip area rug I didn not know that I thought it was a must
These tips can really be part of the solution for many concerns at home. Thank you, Lisa. ❤❤
Thank you so much for your tips
Best tip for me was the rug.
STOP SCREAMING!!!!!
Nope. You’re removing all character. Blech.
