Very helpful. Cute little princess..!!!
Perfect vid exactly what I was looking for thanks!
Saint clair, mi brother.
Great!
The reason he’s having so much trouble sawing is because he is cutting between two supports causing the wood to pinch the blade.
Ac2 treated wood is garden safe.
HELP! I just stained all my raised bed materials! Do I need to start over
There’s a chance it’s already been said but linseed oil is a chemical. Everything is a chemical. Chemicals are what matter is made of. That being said, yes pressure treated word is made with some harsh stuff that you may not want in your garden/food. They used to use arsenic based systems which are more environmentally dangerous than personal. Also, being industrial, processed, or synthetic does not make a chemical better it worse than natural based systems. Linseed oil is an industrial chemical that is highly processed. From cradle to grave linseed oil is probably more environmentally damaging than mineral oil which is better for the wood and food than linseed oil. There are several products in nature that are not suitable for human consumption. Snake venom and Poison ivy come to mind. I’m the future, try not to vilify chemicals but instead talk about awareness of the materials you are using. Like if they are everybody’s favorable over other options or you think they make the good taste better, etc. chemicals are your friend and you are made up of a sock drawer of chemicals.
What size screws should we use?? Im in home depot now with soo much wood lol
Awesome job. Thank you for sharing
Your material list says to use 3" screws but the video show you using 1 5/8" screws. Which one do I use?
If I asked a home supply chain to cut those for me, with your instructions, would that work? Skill saw for me = emergency room visit.
Why do you call it Linseed oil when it is made out of Flax seed? 🙂 american english makes no sense at some points 🙂
You made me buy the wrong sized nails dude
Subbed this is so helpful to turn yard into nice garden! I need to rototill my lawn first and buy or rent a truck, SUV or van to fit the boards in the vehicle to do so.
Sorry! Not everyone likes the same type of music, for me it ruined the video.
I’m building mine the same way except I will be using 2×12’s.
This has nothing to do with the video, but I visited Michigan for the first time this past August. I was there for a week, and visited several places while I was there. Michigan is soooo beautiful. I have fallen in love with Michigan. My top 3 favorites being Kalamazoo, South Haven, and St. Ignace, with St. Ignace topping the chart at #1. I have fallen in love with Michigan. I didn’t want to leave.
Very nice bro God bless you
I have read that boiled linseed oil is in fact toxic, and instead natural, pure linseed oil is food safe. Only bringing this up because I see you have used boiled linseed oil. I read it can sometimes contain petroleum based or heavy metal additives, so perhaps use some caution when selecting this form of linseed oil.
love the chicken saying hello
FYI, if you plan on using linseed oil, make sure it’s the Raw kind and not the Boiled one. Everything I’ve read so far suggests that boiled linseed oil has metallic dryers added to it (Most often cobalt and manganese salts) which might not be the healthiest option.
WHAT PART OF MICH ARE YOU FROM?
How much was all this material?
Might be building something similar this weekend now
Thank you!
I’m going to make 3 of them as well.
how did you keep it even and level in the ground, and does it remain level over time after rain and weather?
10 inches tall? Maybe for a flower bed, not sure about a garden bed, seems a little shallow
Thank you!

HELP! I just stained all my raised bed materials! Do I need to start over
Cute little girl, and cute chickens. Silly question here, but what comes next? Can you just place it anywhere in your yard and add soil? And you don’t need a bed bottom?
Definitely gonna try this next summer/spring when I have a chance. Just a question tho, what do you do with the beds during the winter months? Do you cover them, leave them be, or take them apart? Thanks and great video!
Good job.
If you don’t make Audi cars (or similar), don’t "over-engineer" a job.
Yes, cut then oil then build 🙂
Linseed oil? Heard of that and thought it was for old furniture and whatnot.
To save money, if linseed is expensive, you could use home-dame creosote on the exterior surfaces of the boxes, which is very unlikely to soak through to the interior and harm your food.
i have a feeling this video is going to get a little boost in views over the next few years
YOUR chickens don’t bother your vegetables

How are they holding up? Curious to know how long these wood beds will last as the hardware store guy was telling me that the wood would rot quick. I was thinking of using 1 by 4s
You lost me at Black and Decker drill.
